Stargazers are a tool devised by Stalkers to harvest Ergo spores, creating a safe area for survivors during the Puppet Frenzy.
Gameplay
Stargazers serve as checkpoints and fast travel points for P throughout the game. Resting at a Stargazer restores P's health and refills his inventory if items are available in storage. He can also switch out Legion Arms, Grindstones, and Wishstones. Resting will also reset most enemies in the level, with Bosses and special enemies being the exception.
