Puppet Frenzy

The Puppet Frenzy was a cataclysmic event for the city of Krat, devastating the population prior to the awakening of Geppetto's puppet.

Background

The discovery of Ergo launched a wave of technological advancement in Krat. The inventor Giuseppe Geppetto created the very first Puppets, robots that could serve a variety of purposes. They soon became a ubiquitous part of the city and greatly improved everyday life for the residents of Krat, ushering in a golden age for the city. However in the year 189x the Puppets suddenly turned violent and due to their widespread use quickly massacred large parts of the human population. Most of the Stalkers who served as Krat's protectors were killed, leaving survivors of the frenzy trapped in isolated pockets around the city.
