Puppet Frenzy

The Puppet Frenzy was a cataclysmic event for the city of Krat, devastating the population prior to the awakening of Geppetto's puppet.

Background

The discovery of Ergo launched a wave of technological advancement in Krat. The inventor Giuseppe Geppetto created the very first Puppets, robots that could serve a variety of purposes. They soon became a ubiquitous part of the city and greatly improved everyday life for the residents of Krat, ushering in a golden age for the city. However in the year 189x the Puppets suddenly turned violent, with the first instances of Puppets attacking humans occurring at Rosa Isabelle Street. Due to the widespread usage of Puppets the Frenzy quickly spread and massacred large parts of the human population. A new outbreak of the Petrification Disease further worsened the situation. The Tower that housed the Workshop Union collapsed, killing many of them. Most of the Stalkers who served as Krat's protectors were killed, leaving survivors of the frenzy trapped in isolated pockets around the city.
