The Tracker

The Tracker, real name Alidoro, is a renowned Treasure Hunter.

Background

Alidoro comes from a family of weapon makers in a country referred to as the Land of the Morning. He arrived in Krat with his younger sister Eugénie but was eventually forced to abandon her when he ran afoul of the Alchemists. Despite this he continued to watch over her in secret to keep her safe. During the collapse of the Workshop Tower he saved Eugénie's life, losing a finger in the process. He continued to operate as a treasure hunter and built a reputation as the greatest treasure hunter in Krat, becoming widely admired by the people. He became acquainted with the Legendary Stalker and Romeo due to their shared opposition to the Alchemists, though he disagreed with some of their methods. Despite his success he didn't keep most of the treasure he obtained and his primary focus continued to be on protecting Eugénie. He also became friends with the reporter Medoro, who became one of his main allies in the fight against the Alchemists.

Overture

The Tracker is first met in the Alchemist's Lab gazing upon a small Gold Coin Tree. The Tracker is initially suspicious of Geppetto's Puppet but eases up when he notices that he smells of Alchemist blood. Geppetto's Puppet then shows him the Legendary Stalker's pendant and he agrees to ally with it, though he refuses to tell Geppetto's puppet his real name. He provides it with a Horn to signal him with if it runs into the Two Faced Overseer. After the Overseer is defeated The Tracker relocates to Hotel Krat, where he assists in decrypting ciphers. If all the ciphers are decrypted and their secrets revealed, he will thank Geppetto's puppet for its efforts before wondering out loud if his own efforts will mean anything. He then bids Geppetto's puppet farewell and departs Hotel Krat.

Story

By the time Geppetto's puppet is awakened by Sophia, Alidoro was killed by the Parrot who then assumed his identity. Alidoro's imposter would trade rare Ergo in exchange for unique weapons and amulets. Eugénie, who idolized him, was starstruck when he arrived to the Hotel. She created a set of gloves for him but they didn't fit due to him being a fake. This provided Geppetto's puppet with a sign that this wasn't the real Alidoro. The Parrot eventually betrays the survivors at Hotel Krat by deactivating the building's defenses. After the Black Rabbit Brotherhood is defeated he is caught by Geppetto's puppet attempting to escape Krat.

Notes

• He will react to the Stalker's Greeting and Deep Bow gestures. He will also have some additional dialogue if talked to while wielding the Twin Dragon Sword or while wearing the Treasure Hunter's Mask.
