Markiona, Puppeteer of Death

Markiona, Puppeteer of Death is a boss in Lies of P: Overture.

Background

Markiona was originally a technician for the Workshop Union who worked with Puppets. She joined the Union at a young age and was seen as a childhood prodigy. She met Geppetto's wife Camille early on, who helped to raise and guide the young technician. Markiona was present when Camille was killed during an Alchemist experiment gone wrong. After the accident, she used Camille's Ergo to create a Puppet that would become the first to awaken its ego. This discovery caught the attention of the Alchemists, who saw her discovery as a breakthrough on their research on Ergo.

The Alchemists soon recruited Marikiona, who became one of their most prominent researchers and was heavily involved in the creation of Carcasses. She continued her work in Puppets as well and as the relationship between the Alchemists and Workshop worsened she created her own series of Puppets, called Arche Puppets. These were not bound to the Grand Covenant and were used to aid in the Alchemists' experiments. After the Alchemists took over Krat Zoo, Markiona was put in charge of the facility where she continued to run her experiments. After Carlo's death she took possession of his Puppet, Rosaura, who she locked in a cage to be studied. When the Puppet Arlecchino escaped from Alchemist custody, he made his way to the Zoo as part of his plan to kill the Legendary Stalker. Due to him murdering multiple Alchemists, they mistakenly assumed that Arlecchino was after Markiona and put her on alert. She then mistook Geppetto's puppet as the one targeting her when it entered the zoo.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Markiona is a Human and will take bonus damage from the Murderer Puppets Amulet. She is also weak to Acid.
