Sweepers

The Sweepers were one of the two primary group of Stalkers in Krat, the other being the Bastards. They served as guards for the old families of Krat due to their shared distrust of the Alchemists.

Background

The Sweepers were a group of Stalkers that allied with the old families of Krat, after the Alchemists began to increase their influence in the city. They took on the motto "We always repay what is owed." They had a fierce rivalry with the Bastards, who worked for the Alchemists. Both groups were devastated by the Puppet Frenzy and most members were killed. Afterward Veronique, the last leader of the Sweepers, led a suicidal attack on an Alchemist lab in order to go out honorably. She and the rest of the Sweepers were captured by the Alchemists and injected with experimental serums. This resulted in most being transformed into Carcasses. Veronique resisted transforming but went insane before being defeated and killed by Geppetto's puppet.
